By creating an account or using EquityHound ("the Service," "we," "us," "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. EquityHound is currently operated as a sole proprietorship based in California.
EquityHound provides AI-generated stock scoring (across four categories: growth, moat, financial health, and management quality), discounted cash flow ("DCF") valuation estimates, AI-assisted research summaries, and related portfolio-tracking tools ("Features"). Some Features require a paid subscription ("Pro").
EquityHound is an educational and informational tool only. Nothing on EquityHound constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and no Feature is a recommendation regarding any specific security.
The Free plan includes a limited number of daily analyses and a capped watchlist size, as shown in the app. We may adjust these limits at our discretion, with reasonable notice for any reduction.
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization; scrape, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute Service data or outputs in bulk; interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure; or use automated means to exceed Free or Pro plan usage limits. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
EquityHound, its scoring methodology, design, and underlying software are owned by EquityHound. You retain ownership of the watchlist and account data you create, and you grant us a license to store and process that data solely to operate the Service for you.
EquityHound relies on third-party providers, including Anthropic (AI analysis), Finnhub (market data), and Stripe (payment processing). We are not responsible for outages, inaccuracies, or errors originating from these third parties.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of data or analysis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EquityHound will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any lost profits or investment losses, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.
We may update these Terms periodically. We will post the revised version with a new "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, notify active subscribers by email.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
